Have you ever wondered what today’s process is for identifying, screening, and supporting young men and women who are interested in applying to West Point?
The candidate process has changed quite a bit since many of us went through it, and there are many insights that we believe you’d enjoy learning about; for example:
– How do we help to promote the opportunity West Point offers?
– How do we identify potential candidates?
– What are the new requirements that candidates must meet?
– What are the biggest challenges?
– How can we enhance our success?
– What role do parents play?
– What can all our members do to help?
We are very lucky in Southwest Florida to have a great Field Force team to manage this effort. WPSN Board member COL (Ret) Mike McMahon ‘81 leads this effort with a strong team of dedicated volunteers. We plan to set up a Zoom webinar to invite interested members to learn more about the process and how we achieve the success we’ve seen in Southwest Florida. Mike will be joined by Jill and Tom Corcoran, leaders for our Southwest Florida Parents Club (and recipients of the Distinguished Parents Club Award last year).
