On Saturday, November 3rd, 2018, the West Point Society of Naples and the local Air Force Academy Alumni met at the Bokamper’s in Estero for the annual football game viewing. The outcome would decide who would earn the Commander-In-Chief’s Trophy. There were about thirty West Point Alumni, Parents Club Members, Family, and Friends that attended along with twenty Air Force Academy Alumni, Family and Friends. Everyone had a great time watching the game and sharing camaraderie with fellow colleagues and friends. The Oldest Grads in attendance were Hector Negroni, USAFA ’61, and Charlie Murray, USMA ’62. The youngest grad was Aaron Sane, USMA ’94.
At halftime we led the venue in a rousing rendition of “God Bless America” and were led by our illustrious Association President, Garrett Dietz, USMA ’73, with a Fourth Quarter Rocket that helped Army hold off the charging Falcons. Army again got to sing our Alma Mater last as the Black Knights defeated the Falcons by a score of 17 to 14. A great time was had by all!
